Topic Discussion Article: What's Hot in Electronics for 2011 (文章)
Questions for Discussion:
Session 1
1. What kind of electronic gadget do you possess? How do you like them? If you don't possess any of them and/or don't like them, what makes you dislike them or decide not to buy them? Share your opinions with your teammates.
2. Among the hot devices mentioned in the article: iPad, 3-D TVs, smartphones, and Kinect, which one impresses you most? Which one are you most likely to buy in the coming weeks or months? Please give your reasons.
3. Imagine this scenario: You are traveling in a country far away from your home, and you just find your luggage lost. Fortunately, you still keep your passport, credit cards and wallet. But, your cell phone, laptop, and kindle are all gone. Would you still enjoy your journey for the rest of the time? Which of the lost things would you most wish to be found?
Session 2
4. Have you ever seen a glassless 3D TV? Do you want to see 3D TV programs at home? If you had a 3D TV, would you still go to the theater for movies?
5. If your TV set could connect to the Internet, would you prefer to surf the net on your TV than on your computer? If you surfed the web on your TV, what would you do? For example, you might want to watch on-line TV programs, chat with friends, read e-books, etc.
6. In the article, the author suggested that the Kinect way is the solution of the internet-on-TV control problem. Do you agree with him? Do you prefer to throw away the remote control and switch channels with just your fingers?
