Questions for Discussion:
Session 1
1. Mark Twain once said “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.” Can you give us a more in-depth explanation in your own words?
2. Luxury products, for example, can provide subjective intangible benefits which are not necessarily related to communicating values or status to others. These goods are also bought for one's pleasure, for aesthetic reasons, excitement, or simply for enjoyment. What do you think? Do you like luxury products? How do you define a luxury product?
3. The experimental results appearing in this article clearly show that wearing famous brands can bring many benefits. Do wearing luxury clothing and owning other brand- name items increase your confidence, and status? If yes, please share your thoughts. If not, please give us your reasons.

4. The article mentioned that “Clothes may make the man, but it is the label really counts.” Is the label more important than the concept? Would you mind buying a product without the logo?
5. What do people most enjoy buying and owning luxury? Do they see dollar signs and brands, or simply feel fabulous, or both? How many luxury products do you have? What makes you buy luxury brand products? (Such as quality, service, design, trendy, brand loyalty, upgrading the status, identification, vanity…)
6. Do most of your friends have luxury brands? Will you be influenced by your friends to buy luxury brands which you don’t need it? Will you be affected from them?
Dear Happy members,
There are some points to be noticed in the gathering informed by our founder, Happy. Please kindly follow the procedure.
1. Print the article and bring it to the gathering venue.
2. Look for the pink flag of Happy English Club or ask the waitress to get it and put it on the table in order to show every comer and return it to the counter at the end.
3. Freely talk for one hour more and then discuss the article for one hour more.
4. Please ask the new attendees to leave their contact information and send it to me . (Karen)
5. Please volunteer to bring a camera and ask the waitress to take a photo for all the attendees. Make sure you put the flag right in front of the camera so that the flag seems to be a big one and then send it to me . (Karen)
6. In the end of the gathering, please volunteer to keep the minutes of the gathering on Happy English Club's forum in the club issue section. You can share your ideas, conclusions, what you learned, and so on with our members without limited words. viewforum.php?f=75
