Student makes 582km trip after taking wrong train

Questions:
1. Are you that kind of people easy to lose direction? What will you do when that happens?
2. Can you figure out how people find a way out when visiting new places before GPS was invented?
3. During the 582km journey this girl took, I believe there were many chances to stop and take the right train. But this girl didn't make it. Please share your opinion about this.
