Topic Discussion Article: Second Generation Entrepreneurs in Family Business Face New Challenges (文章)
Questions:
Session 1
1. Do you have any friend whose father or mother is the president of the family business? What do you think of him/her?
2. What do you think of RICH SECOND GENERATION (Chinese men born into rich families after the 1980s. These men tend to be eligible to inherit lots of money and assets from their parents)? What do you think of 22-year-old Yeh Kuan-heng (葉冠亨) and his parents?
3. If your father or mother were the president of the family business, will you stay in the family business or hunt another job or build another firm from the ground up? Why? If you were a company owner, will you consider letting your children inherit your company? Why or why not?

4. This is following the question number 3. If you want them to inherit your own company in the future, how will you train your children? If you forbid your children to work in your own company, how would you explain it to your children? Do you agree the way that Formosa Group's Wang Yung-ching(王永慶) treated his firstborn, Wong Wen-Yang(王文洋)? Could you guess the reason why Want Want Group’s Tsai Eng-Meng(蔡衍明) asked his two sons not to get into college?
5. Do you consider marring a second generation entrepreneur or a girl whose parents have family business? Why or why not? If yes, what benefits would you get? And what potential problems might you face?
