With all the information entertainment at arm’s reach at home like always-on wireless Internet connectivity and bigger, better TVs that reproduce pixel-perfect high-definition video, advances in communication technology (cell phones, PDAs and smart phones) have you changed your way of life or habits? What are they? Do you stay home more or plan to work at home in the future?

2. Do you think that super-cocooning will also be a trend in Taiwan? Why and why not?

3. Home is a sweet home, the place which always comes into our mind first when we are tired or feel unsecured. Home is not only a physical house but also includes our dearest family and our affection to everything inside or around it. Where did you grow up? Can you describe your home or house where your parents raised you up?

4. Where do you live now? Are you satisfied with the house and the place you are living in? Why or why not? What’s your dream house?

5. Have you had any plan to improve the place you are living in? What’s the plan?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

The other day, I overheard the conversation from a podcast. “Would you like to live in a heaven or inside of a computer with everything?” “Inside of a computer with everything!” ……………….

Gee, a heaven on earth, anyone? All right, Jane will be our host of 5/24 gathering, and this topic is what everyone should reflect on regularly and take heart--Cocooning: It's back and thanks to tech, it’s bigger. So, girls and boys, sisters and brothers, what kind of ambivalence do you feel toward cocooning and its effect on our lives?

Home and Love

Love is the biggest difference between a home and a house. To make this difference more recognizable, our design and selection choices have been inspired on different levels--the awareness of the importance of family, environment, and humanity. And this is what home meant to English poet Robert Southey (12 August 1774 – 21 March 1843): “There is a magic in that little world, home; it is a mystic circle that surrounds comforts and virtues never known beyond its hallowed limits.” Homes always cultivate the soul. To plant the soul seeds in our childhood, what our parents have done for us might exceed our imagination. Guess how happy this little girl will be?
