2. What are your New Year’s Resolutions for 2016? Please share at least two objectives with us. Why do you make these goals? Do you make these goals to follow your passion or just to meet the expectations of others?

3. Your goals should be a little difficult but not impossible to reach. Do you agree with this statement? Have you learnt about setting your career goals? And, how important is it to learn it? Do your 2016 New Year’s Resolutions meet the SMART goal criteria? Why or why not?

4. If you can make goal-oriented approaches much more interesting, you will progress very fast toward your goals. How to make them interesting?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

How long will your New Year’s Resolutions last?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GXpn4OMZOE&app=desktop

What do red onion skins and New Year's Eve have in common? Author and poet Alex Morritt solved the riddle: “They both peel away to reveal new vibrancy.” Happy New Year! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DzVKyyyFjM&app=desktop I hope everyone has had a joyful holiday, however you celebrated it. For the first gathering of 2016, our host Kevin is enquiring Happiers’ New Year’s Resolutions. Welcome to share your start of something new.

To recharge and restart your energy, what promises should you make to yourself?
http://www.playbuzz.com/gr8skn10/what-new-years-resolution-should-you-make Contemporary Turkish playwright and novelist Mehmet Murat ildan expected people to fly in new ways. “A cat’s New Year dream is mostly a bird! Don’t be like a cat; in New Year, dream something that you have never dreamed! Target for new things!” How to recreate the value of what you see in the mirror and make a difference? We cannot rejoice until defeating the enemies of willpower—with the growth mindset, determination and discipline help us focus on what matters most and form new habits. A dreamer is a dreamer only when he or she is also a doer. https://hbr.org/2014/12/make-your-work-resolutions-stick

“The Winds of Fate” by Ella Wheeler Wilcox

One ship drives east and another drives west
With the self-same winds that blow;
'Tis the set of the sails
And not the gales
That tells them the way to go.

Like the winds of the sea are the winds of fate
As we voyage along through life;
'Tis the set of the soul
That decides its goal
And not the calm or the strife.

Which book gave you a hangover in 2015? Did you complete your 2015 Reading Bingo Challenge? Since reading has been a popular resolution for Happiers, let us see how your 2016 reading will surprise yourself. If books are mirrors, what can you see in them? What do you think of these new mirrors?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/new-book-releases-2016_5684607ae4b0b958f65b3a65?kz060f6r&utm_hp_ref=books Moreover, to reward yourself, what book do you prefer to re-read? Why? How will you summarize this “Once Upon a Memory”? http://thestylinglibrarian.com/2014/02/01/styling-librarian-review/

Believing in ourselves boldly can bridge the gap between what we really desire and what will set us free. Exploring and interpreting the science of Growth Mindset, Professor Carol S. Dweck encourages everyone to nurture their nature. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-swZaKN2Ic American author Stephen King simply put “You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.” The meaning of self-recreation is to discover the genius in everyone—even a street photographer is a genie granting wishes by taking over your imagination https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zya5kG_9cFw —however big your dreams can be, they cannot scare you any longer.
What do you feel in your heart? If you have to choose three words for 2016, what will they be? Goals are set for nothing but adapting ourselves to the unknown future. Therefore, promise yourself to give love--let it shine your way--give yourself and this world that “Can’t Sleep Love”.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF3ysrL9dqo&app=desktop Happy New Year. Join us. Thanks!!!
