Dear Taichung Happiers,
No kidding, a university with no teachers, no curriculum, and no fees. No worries? https://www.techrepublic.com/article/why-free-university-42-breaks-all-the-rules-for-educating-engineers-and-is-coming-to-the-us/With which color can we write a love letter to our future selves? What promises will be included in that letter? How to translate what we want most in life into reality? A writer, professor, and Nobel Laureate, Elie Wiesel (September 30, 1928 – July 2, 2016) had seen it out of a sense of obligation “to give meaning to life and in doing so to overcome the passive, indifferent life”. What is your sanity? What’s the crystal clear life goal that excites you? Do you enjoy your engagement with the process of pulling off a victory? Life lessons are learned from searching inside ourselves; the key to solving life riddles is to pursue the permitted humility and harmony within ourselves; sophistication and sincerity are the catalyst to bring about more stable access to a healthier and happier relationship with our future selves. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, we feel so honored to present you this decent topic. Welcome to join our host Eric Cheng in showing the determined look in our eyes and taking one step closer to our dream life.
Intercommunication. Communication is the origin of anything possible. Whenever I find the key to success, someone changes the lock?! Intercommunication is to bridge the gap between individual and organizational cultures. Culture always informs the way people examine the world; different personal and organizational cultures solve problems differently. The first step of intercommunication is to observe the context in the cultures. Then, be more adaptive and acquire more feedback to achieve the communication effectiveness. Therefore, why don't we regard this intercommunication process as a teaching-learning process? Create the moment to teach and learn--it can be any moment. Professor Sydney Finkelstein reminds us that when we are open to learn from others, they are more willing to learn from us as well. https://hbr.org/2018/01/the-best-leaders-are-great-teachers Through the teaching-learning process, intercommunication can eliminate gaps to influence actions and inspire high-level performances. Communication is a magic mirror reflecting our self-awareness. To be more alert while listening, focus on being at the present. Mindfulness training and asking great questions can help us concentrate on the communication to retain necessary information. All right. Take a deep breath before checking out more communication techniques. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAnw168huqA Most importantly, find inspiration from communication. Intercommunication is to figure out the deepest values of each other--communicate to make sure that everybody having different expertise knows what others are doing, and, why. Not until we show real respect to each other's cultures and values can we surely start to serve more. Now, tell me, please, what messages does The Last Supper try to communicate with us? https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2011/apr/12/leo-steinberg-obituary Imagination. Knowledge is great; imagination is greater. "Keep the dream alive: Hit the snooze button." We apply imagination for creativity to improve the quality of human nature, as imagination encourages us to not put rules to our solutions. In The Little Prince, author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry also endorsed the beauty of moving between the worlds seen and unseen. ”And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” We can never overemphasize the implication of imagination. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wuBEBnCg3c Imagination requires the engagement with the world, and it takes motivation to engage more. Please remember that creativity is contagious--mutual benefits are engendered when we inspire and encourage the culture of creativity and innovation. Again, let’s learn from kids’ curiosity to cultivate our creative capability. Curiosity is the desire to explore and experiment more; our childhood imagination is not a foreign land. Take some time to daydream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F_uHf5aljs Imagination is to create varieties and opportunities. Hereby, please allow me to suggest reading more fiction as a rich recipe for stretching our imaginations. Reading fiction is not hiding ourselves behind the reality—instead, reading fiction is opening eyes to more opportunities; reading fiction is opening the window on the world. After listening to this imaginative story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AexYMp-Xslk , what would you love to share with us? Do you feel the emotion that Kenny has in this story? At what age did you start knowing what you want in life, like Kenny did? Above all, imagination requires the commitment to practice. Fortunately, we can ask questions differently and challenge assumptions to nourish our imagination in our everyday life. Here is an imaginative and creative film COCO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh2szjud4I4Instinct. "Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else." Life is all about chances and choices. What's the hardest thing you've ever done? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzJb3GIRfLg Trust our instinct, listen to our interior rhythm, to make great choices. Chances and choices. Along the journey, we see changes in many areas. The only haunting question is: should we change our belief? In other words, should we change what we think the most important to us? Instinct defines and re-defines our uniqueness—instinct and experiences have shaped what we are. The voice in our hearts is raised by the efficient encounters of our knowledge and experiences, and it entails our advanced adventures. Chances and choices. Instinct is what constantly grows our confidence; the instinct for opportunity is the lost art of problem-solving. America's greatest inventor Thomas A. Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) admonished us that “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Do you trust your intuition? Why? What deep messages and meanings are imparted by our intuition? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FfypyFsGhk How does our faith affect our instinct? Can the trusted instinct transform our weakness into positive character traits? Chances and choices. To smile in the instinct for contentment and bliss, understand and be honest with ourselves about what we do best, and find ways to do more of that every day. From “Be Thou My Vision” (by Eleanor Henrietta Hull)
King of my vision
O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me
Save that Thou art
Thou my best thought
By day or by night
Or waking or sleeping
Thy presence my light
Or waking or sleeping
Thy presence my light
You are already awesome; take every opportunity to be more awesome. Above all, what does success truly mean? Facing patterns formed and re-formed, success defined and re-defined, American author and motivational speaker Zig Ziglar’s statement sounds extremely intriguing. “Success is having a home and people to love who love you in return.” Yes. Success is not only building wealth and fame. Success is a way of being--a way of tying the bond--success is also about building the “home”, the community, and the society. Together, let us embrace the sky full of stars, shall we? Join us. Thanks!!!
