Topic： Gore warns of damage from climate change

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Suggesting that the planet will soon reach an irreversible "tipping point" of damage to the climate, former Vice President Al Gore told members of Congress on Wednesday that the United States needs to join international talks on a treaty.
"This treaty must be negotiated this year," Gore told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
During questioning, he acknowledged that any treaty must include mechanisms to ensure compliance with prospective limits on carbon dioxide emissions, which come primarily from burning fossil fuels for energy.

2. And, how does it, directly or indirectly, affect our lives?
3. if global warming deteriorates, do you think that the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" will truly happen in the future?
if not, why? if yes, how many years after will it happen in your imagination.
4. As a citizen of the globe, what can you do to personaly help reduce the emissoins of carbon dioxide? list at least 5 solutions?
5. in Taiwan, what kind of alternative energy resources do you think could enoumously replace the fossil fuel energy? why?
