Topic Discussion Article: Japan's Uniqlo is Coming to America (文章)

Session 1
1. This article is a transcript of a news clip. Were you able to watch the video clip at the top of the webpage? Do you agree that watching an English video clip with a transcript or English subtitles is a good way to sharpen your listening and speaking skills? Why? Would you like to share some other tips for mastering English listening and speaking with us?
2. Uniqlo is also coming to Taiwan. What do you know about Uniqlo? Why do you think the company is so successful that its CEO has become the richest man in Japan? Would you like to visit its store in Taipei after its opening in October? Why?
3. Where do you buy your clothes, at night markets, in chain stores, in department stores, or on the net? Why do you prefer shopping that way? What are your favorite apparel brands, if any? Why do you prefer them?
