Topic Discussion Article: Newly Frugal Generation Revives Discount Dining (文章)

Questions for Discussion:

Session 1

1. Do you know any ways to practice a frugal life, such as collecting coupons, participating in group purchases or even buying soon-to-expire products? Please share with us your secrets. On average, how much money have you saved yearly with your methods? Was it worth the time you spent?

2. What is the "early bird special" mentioned in this article? If restaurants in Taiwan have the early bird special, would you be tempted to have meals earlier to qualify for the discounts? Why or why not?

3. Can you name some drawbacks of the "early bird special" or the "twilight dining"?

Session 2

4. Are there any other businesses that you believe the early bird concept can be successfully applied on? For example, if your boss gave you 10% more salary if you arrived at 7 am every day, would you consider it?

5. The term "early bird" or "doggy bag" are metaphors from a lexicon standpoint, do you know other similar special or interesting terms?

6. Did you come to today's gathering on time? Why do you think people are used to being late? Do you think you will arrive earlier next time now that you know there is limited seating, and that you will be asked to come earlier next time if the place is full?
