Topic Discussion Article: Superstitious behavior: the cause and cure
Source: http://hyperstring.blogspot.com/2009/07 ... -cure.html
Questions for Discussion:
Session 1
(1) Please share with your group mates any superstitious behaviors you know or practice. How do people react to these behaviors?
(2) If you have encountered the so-called "bad luck" such us broken mirrors, Black Friday, black cat, or through fortune-telling, do these things bother you?
(3) Are you superstitious on some level? Do you have any habits or taboos in daily life but there are no logic behind them? If you are not superstitious, how about your friends or family?
Session 2
(4) In your opinion, what might be the reasons for superstitious behaviors? What do you think is the most outrageous superstition in our culture?
(5) What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of being superstitious? Have you ever visited a fortune-teller?
(6) Before you make a decision, do any "signs" influence your decision making? Please share some personal experiences when superstitious behaviors led to good results or bad results.
Dear Happy members,
If you can join the gathering and or go there earlier around 2:30 p.m., please kindly let me know as soon as you can before every gathering of Saturday in order to keep the regular gatherings going smoothly. I can send you our standard operating procedure (SOP). Thank you!
There are 3 points to be noticed in the gathering informed by our founder, Happy. Please kindly follow the procedure.
1. Please take the pink flag from the waitress.
2. Please ask the contact informationof the attendees and send it to me. (Karen)
3. In the end of the gathering, can you take a photo with all the attendees? If you guys are taking photos, please put the flag just in front of the camera so that the flag seems to be a big one. If you don't have the camera or the mobile phone with the function, you can request the attendees to take the photo and send it to me. (Karen)
Thanks for your support and cooperation!
(P.S. the flag, attendees' info, a photo)
Best regards,
Hsinchu Host Master, Karen Hu
