I don't understand what's mean of this sentance. expecial, IOs of dead . Is that means 死亡的智商?

Dear Elena,

Share my comprehension.
I think it's "IQs of dead geniuses". :)
The sentence means we can estimate geniuses' IQs after they died. However, this method is only based on researching dead geniuses' biographical information which is not enough to compare (or not reliable).
