Do you feel Chinese tourists are getting more and more, and even around you in Taiwan day by day? Do you think it’s a good sign of economic development, but it also makes more impacts on other things?
2. Do you know if Chinese tourists, in some specific ways, behave so differently from other nations’ people?
3. Wherever in Taiwan or other countries, do you like (or, are you able) to stay with Chinese tourists in the same restaurant, hotel or famous scenic spot?
4. A quote from the article says, “Chinese tourists often say they feel treated like second class people, even when they spend a lot of money." Do you think Chinese tourists really look like second-class people? Do you also think Taiwanese are first- class people? Or, who do you regard as first- class and most welcomed worldwide?

Dear Taichung Happiers:
Please ponder on the quotation from British novelist and poet Gilbert Keith Chesterton: “The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one's own country as a foreign land.” Taichung Happiers’ best friend, Albert Einstein, confessed: “I love to travel, but hate to arrive.” Why? Nevertheless, our 7/13 host Jeffrey has proposed some issues worthy of Happiers’ thoughts.
Mostly, we meet a tourist’s aptitude which is obtained to deal with the outer conditions. And our attitude toward foreign tourists in our motherland mirrors our sense of identity. Stereotype is most often the cause of discrimination. How did you solve the problem of discrimination you encountered while traveling? To study Chinese tourism, the following speech is clear and concise for Happiers’ reference: Robyn Meredith, the author of "The Elephant and the Dragon: The Rise of India and China and What it Means for the Rest of Us", encourages people to “pay attention to China’s dream for itself”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQl8TrxCSvkIn Taichung Happy English Club, our travel stories will never end. Jeffrey is well known as being in a constant state of flying; Josef just completed his academic research and returned from Portugal; traveling to Turkey with his beloved family, recently, David has made more friends whose compelling stories completely captured David’s interest. Through traveling, Happiers grow new eyes; afterwards, we cultivate each other. How could we be luckier?
P.S. The venue for 7/13 gathering-- 台中市南屯區公益路二段497號 Mos Burger.Best Wishes,
Jasmine
