Questions:
1. Nowadays we have a long retirement--more than 20years. What’s your to-do list for your life after retirement? Please share it with us.

2. How to accomplish your retirement goals step-by-step?

3. What's the most difficult part of retirement? How to overcome the challenges?

4. Why should we postpone the bucket list (a list of things you always wanted to do, but you haven’t had the time or methods) until we retire? Why can’t we do those things now? If you won’t reach it during your lifetime, will you only regret it?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

An elderly gentleman was telling his friend about a new restaurant he and his wife recently visited. “The food and service were great!” he said. His friend asked, “What’s the name of the place?” “Gee, I don’t remember,” he said, “What do you call the long stemmed flower people give on special occasions?” “You mean a rose?” asked his friend. “That’s it!” he exclaimed and turning to his wife, asked, “Rose, what’s the name of that restaurant we went to the other day?”

Oh, don’t worry. Just turn around and say “I love you” to your Grandpa and Grandma. Remember that story RED? Retired Extremely Dangerous.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMCh4etBbkU Yes, retirees can still contribute in various ways. And our host Allen is now reminding us it’s never too early to plan for an active and rewarding retirement.

The former columnist and Certified Financial Planner Mark Singer proclaimed the significance of retirement planning. “I believe that the biggest mistake that most people make when it comes to their retirement is they do not plan for it. They take the same route as Alice in the story from ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ in which the cat tells Alice that surely she will get somewhere as long as she walks long enough. It may not be exactly where you wanted to get to, but you certainly get somewhere.” Planning is the key; awareness helps to paint a brighter picture of the path critical enough to take.

Retirement Plan
by Dr. James E. Martin

Now that I’ve reached a ripe old age,
I sit on the porch and sip sweet tea.
Some may question the wisdom in this,
My response is simply, “It works for me!”

Jealousy is undoubtedly fostered in some,
For that matter anger may surely arise.
I simply continue in my well designed plan
And know that many my life they despise.

So, what fresh air are you craving for your retirement? What hobbies are you currently involved that you will carry on with after you retire? Mr. 詹宏志 (neither a retiree, nor a Grandpa) interpreted re-reading and book-hangover as the perfect anti-aging agent.

The most challenging and rewarding part of retirement issues can be re-framing your attitude and identity. What does retirement truly involve?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6T0-jwv4oY Dr. Morton Shaevitz corrected our common confusion. “There’s nothing wrong with accumulating wealth, receiving recognition for your efforts, and having some power and status--what’s wrong is when you think that’s who you are.”

Join in fun of sharing what you want for your retirement. Hey, and, please remember to love your Grandpa and Grandma harder!
