Dear Taichung Happiers,
A man commented to his lunch companion: My wife had a funny dream last night. She dreamed she'd married a millionaire. You're lucky, sighed the companion. My wife dreams that in the daytime.
What dream we’ve never been tired from? Travel dreams? Although I just finished my tour, this good news still makes me feel as excited as a child. https://www.facebook.com/IcrtJoey/photos/a.347235848690088.80933.330030147077325/850086431738358/?type=1&theater What a beautiful coincidence! No sooner had I learned this news than I received our host Vicki’s discussion questions.
Dreams (by David Herbert Lawrence)
All people dream, but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind,
Wake in the morning to find that it was vanity.
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people,
For they dream their dreams with open eyes,
And make them come true.
Mirror mirror on the bedroom wall, what is the sweetest dream in the world? What kind of dreams can illuminate who we are? American author Richelle E. Goodrich reassured us that “A daily dose of daydreaming heals the heart, soothes the soul, and strengthens the imagination.” Furthermore, Yale Professor Jerome L. Singer has contemplated the hidden treasure everyone can discover—positive constructive daydreaming—and articulated what we can benefit from it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3779797/“Dreaming” is the Muse Master of creativity; creativity makes our dreams come true. Having a pervasive influence on 20th-century art, Vincent van Gogh revealed the secret: “I dream my painting and I paint my dream.” Also, the 5-year-old autistic girl Iris’ authentic painting performance demonstrates how the power of “dreaming” guides us to the light in the darkness. http://edition.cnn.com/2014/10/09/world/the-extraordinary-art-of-autistic-five-year-old-monet/English poet John Keats (31 October 1795 – 23 February 1821) untangled the source of problem-solving. “The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were.” Well, in any circumstances, setting up over 12,500 libraries, donating and publishing 10 million books, and building over 1,500 schools during 11 years are not obvious realities at all. Nevertheless, John Wood, the founder of Non-Profit Organization Room to Read, has gone through a dreamlike journey which has a life-changing impact on 6 million children. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JA5f_YSlxHQ Once upon a dream................. We will appreciate your participation to share it out loud. Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcq5GMHbNZIWith Gratitude,
