20160319, Gathering, Tainan Happy English Club


Gathering on March 19, 2016:
Today, we had two new comers, Robert and Yaalon. Yaalon is an exchange student from China. And Robert, a Taiwanese immigrant in the United States, is a senior engineer previously, and dedicating his entrepreneurship currently. They shared their unique experiences for us. We are glad to have you joining us. Besides, Grace and Ken (it’s me) were the two members in the gathering.

After Google's AlphaGo AI beat world Go champion Lee Se-dol to win Go series 4-1 this month, will AI be an existential threat to humanity in the future? Or what do you think about the future of human when entering the era of artificial Intelligence? Once some super-intelligence was made, the potential dangers posed by such a machine do not depend on how smart it is but on what its ultimate goals are. Will artificial intelligence surpass our own? We don’t know the answer, but, all these problems actually come from human society instead of the machines. Hope this article would inspire you somehow.
