Dear Taichung Happiers,
Humor is everyone’s second sky. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLKaXshILBYHumor is everyone’s second sky. Our appetite for laughter has never wavered. When was the last time you laughed your full-bodied laugh? What context was it in? How did it feel? We can’t really name the secret of humor, we can’t decide a great sense of humor is expensive art. It doesn’t matter: humor fills us with definite delight and wordless peace. The prominent point of humor is to wake us up—to see the world differently. What if it’s this? What if it’s that? A great sense of humor distracts us from the problems at hand. A great sense of humor sends stimulating and sincere messages. A great sense of humor is in the accumulation of random turns, a twinkle so lively we can’t help but laugh again. Therefore, it’s a blessing. A blessing to laugh at life itself, perhaps. English writer, art historian, and antiquarian Horace Walpole (24 September 1717 – 2 March 1797) reached the soul of men, “Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he isn't. A sense of humor was provided to console him for what he is.” We can also risk a glance and see humor like a tilting apple on the edge of a table, singing and suggesting movements in a still life. Yes, it’s all about the balance, it’s like when we close our eyes to practice Arabesque. Now, would you like to know how much humor can help highlight a more heartening society? Would you like to find the second sky? Would you like to find the foundation for all the developments to come? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to join us in sharing what you’d like to breathe upon under the second sky of humor.
Humor is everyone’s second sky—we feel like spoiled with the fresh air. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoPq7FJBIaU It’s something subtleties about being childlike and finding more things to laugh about every day. Laughter increases blood flow at our body, reduces muscle tension, and boosts our immune system. Laughter helps release tension, produces pleasure, and brings the change of situations. Yes, we believe the true test of health is lack of boredom, and laughter is a balm to our burden. Furthermore, Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton (14 January 1904 – 18 January 1980), an English photographer and an Oscar–winning stage and costume designer, could have dubbed himself into Sherlock Holmes. “Perhaps the world’s second worst crime is boredom; the first is being a bore.” Ultimately, we find the best way to make inner preparations for everything is to make fun of everything. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/04/ ... ife-skill/ Humor is awareness gliding in. And, nothing could be better than being aware. Humor will circle around: we lost ourselves in the flow as we pour our hearts out—sharing every satisfaction and irritation in life with every understanding heart. The sweetness and soft gaze of humor put us into perspective, allowing us to face facts and rise above them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twSvd5bQLDw Humor is the flawless antidote while we’re feeling the fierce stillness of the air around us. We need a way to deal with the world and we have the potential. Even if something comes in under-cover darkness, humor always has a calming influence. With the other-worldly humor, a flake of hope touches our faces—at last, we understand ourselves, and the world, a little bit better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xH0HfJHsaYHumor is everyone’s second sky, where the stars speak in patterns of brilliance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T5OzMv9k0A The 34th president of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower (October 14, 1890 – March 28, 1969), simply asserted: "A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done" Leadership has its extending toolkit, no less than any knowledge. If we want to go deeper, we have to study LOL-ology. Humor knows things. Every humorous step adds up to the bridge of stories. Stories--that teach us how to read emotional connections, how to draw out as much information as possible between the lines, and how to decode messages from the things that are talking to us without talking to us. https://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/art ... backfires/ The eyes of successful leaders sparkle with the brightest and most believable good-humor. Laughter strengthens relationships. Through humor, we see leaders less stressful, more approachable and responsible. Can the followers teach the leader what’s funny about him/her? Whether it’s the look, a hand gesture, or a vocal inflection, can the audience shape all these things? https://geekboss.com/humour/ Successful leaders never fail to be courteous and cultivating; we feel less fear while being amused. Humor is connection--because it’s about people and experiences. Humor can help us display strength and calm—others will follow, and, together, we can get through the difficult time. Successful leaders choose to do things differently. They choose to achieve goals while having more fun. It is humor that teaches us in a playful way that we don’t always have to look. We might just have to listen. Think about what attachment actually means, and when it can so easily disappear. Listen to all the amusement, applause, and affection of the audience--the connections--that drive more actions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuEZ0Gziq8oHumor is everyone’s second sky, holding together the water and the light. https://www.buzzfeed.com/mikespohr/this ... toonist-by Humor is able to make the idea, the message come to life in our minds. Every situation reveals certain unforeseen possibilities. In some occasions, humor is not a single idea; it’s lots of ideas, all working together in harmony. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9gkJ0wDBVg&app=desktop The essence of humor is like we have to exhale, in order to inhale. We need humor to be the antidote to whatever we’re familiar with, to break all our prefabricated thinking habits. It feels like the laws of harmony aren’t a restraint required by random convention; rather, anything is a delight. Humor accents the beauty of creativity. The fabulous flowering of creativity occurs when humor interrupts the inactivity of our curiosity. https://www.inc.com/yoram-solomon/humor ... -says.html A sense of humor works wonders. When the murmur of the water mingles with unhappiness, humor is the only salvation, only if every human misfortune isn’t reduced to a calculating battle of words. To see what it means to us, we have to put ourselves into the communication. It’s not about the idea—it’s about how we really get along with every idea. In LOL-ology, we cannot afford to overlook the grammar of culture into insignificance.
https://www8.gsb.columbia.edu/cbs-direc ... 20Haha.pdf “Put Something” (by Shel Silverstein)
Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem,
Sing a mumble-grumble song,
Whistle through your comb.
Do a loony-goony dance
'Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world
That ain't been there before.
Humor is everyone’s second sky—sharing what’s in our hearts is the shivering strings unfolding it; the whole symphony is within ourselves. Because of humor, we remember every note of the life concert—the performance could start anytime anywhere. Great humor is great art, for it confirms the unspoken value we have in common. It takes no imagination to see our constant state of embracing tides and tides of celebration and frustration; answers to life questions seem to come only through humor. Just because paradox is forever thick in the air, the more urgently we need to press the return-to-the-reality bottom, the more we should float up to the second sky of humor. When we throw our heads back in laughter, the air of weariness and restlessness evaporate; we feel everyone’s good-nature shining a light on each other. We never know the true ending of a story until we find the humor dancing in the teller’s eyes. Those eyes. They are deeply touching and dramatically dazzling. We could get lost in those eyes… Don’t worry. The humorous DNA never discriminates. We all have that childlike spark inside of us, we only have to let them out more often. The only unwelcome smile is from the ruthless sense of humor if we overstep the boundaries of privacy and respect that we have highly valued. Humor is the second sky—whatever happens, it always reminds us that we are certainly not alone! Join us. Thanks!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZS2ZG5UzpA&app=desktopWith Gratitude,
Jasmine
