Working on Saturday is certainly never fun, but it’s the cost of having one day off on Jan.2, which extended that weekend to four days. My office was not closed on Jan 2, but I was the only one to go to work in my office. The other four all took that day off. It was very quiet and peaceful. I was still busy on the procurement paperwork although none of my vendors called me. Doing the paperwork in a government agency is boring but necessary. That is what red tape is all about and I’m so used to it now. No authority, no action. The authority must be something in writing, otherwise you’ll be dead.
