A patient spit a little blood today. The nurse witnessed it and saw a splatter of red fluid on the ground, so she rushed to my colleague and yelled that there was a patient vomiting blood. No matter who heard it, he or she would have quit doing anything and checked on the patient. So my colleague sprinted to the bedside. The patient was well and said, “The splatter is not blood. It is ketchup.” It was stupid and should only happen in some sit-coms. Who says life is not like a movie
