I’ve played basketball for thirty years since I was a junior-high student. I love this game. It not only brings me a lot of fun in life but also makes me healthy, energetic and relaxed after hard work on weekdays. But in fact, it's more significant for me than the other people. There is a story for you about basketball and me.
Looking back on my school days, I was so poor on school work as to often get all kinds of punishments and bad scolds from the teachers. Although studying harder, I still couldn’t get a better grade. Gradually, I lost my confidence and interesting in learning. It was not until one day I found I could play basketball better than my classmates. They had no way to win a game if I was on the court, and my skill of basketball kept progressing. What’s more, I was selected to be one of players of the school team. Then I was thinking I could act well on my study now that I was not stupid and even smarter than them. Therefore, I adopted others methods for studying and got improved.
Basketball changes my life. I consider a good basketball player needs to be skillful, athletic and talented. He/She must know how to execute coach’s order, make teamwork with his teammates and hold every chance to win back a game. I enjoy the game and appreciate a player who never gives up and struggles until the game ends off.
