GREAT PRIZES FOR THE BEST SPEAKER !!!
Dear Friends of HAPPY English Club (HEC) :
I am James Jiang .
I have got good news for you all.
June 16th, 2007, is the 2nd anniversary of HEC.
In order to celebrate this meaningful day, officer meeting decided to hold the In-House Speech Contest.
Great award will be given to the winners of this In-House Speech Contest, details are as follows:
prize of the 1st place, NT 3,600
prize of the 2nd place, NT 2,000
prize of the 3rd place, NT 1,000
The contestants will be divided into two groups
1. HEC members
2. Non-members of HEC (we welcome all other challengers)
We will choose 3 winners from each team
You are free to choose any topics as your speech
The time limit is 3 ~ 5 minute
The 100th gathering will be held as usual, from 14:30 and the In-House Speech Contest will start from 15:30.
We encourage all HEC members & Non-members to participate in this meaningful contest.
If you want to join, please register on this forum by the end of May, 2007.

As some people know, I am going back to the military and not able to go out in the following 2 weeks and this is why I have the questions.

This is a very meaningful event, which can sharpen not only all the members' English ability but also our public speaking skills. I hope I can make it even though I'm going to get married. And I've been tense and worried because of my ceremony. And hope more HEC members can attend this great event, too!

After officer discussion we would like to postpone our In-House Speech Contest till yearly anniversary, June 16th, 2010.

I admire you have much more courage to stand up and make a speech in public .
Later I will arrange some distinguish members to be our speech contestants on the 100th gathering.
