20070915-16, sweet memory in the Jin Shan outing

文章CarmenTao » 週一 9月 17, 2007 4:53 pm

The hard disk in my brain has just been installed another set of software called Sweet Memory in Jin Shan. There is too much to say. I'll try to use my limited English phrases to speak out.

First of all, I'd like to thank Helen for holding the outing which I had looked forward to for 2 months. It's also my first time to enjoy seafood with our sweet HEC members 'cause I love seafood very much !

Thanks to Dimitri, we got the shelter and good price for all the seafood.

Maybe Renore will not see the information, but I admire his guts to order a 滷肉飯 at an outdoor coffee shop.

Willie is one of the smartest guy I've ever seen. I think we'll organize a sub-club under HEC with Helen, Wofy, and Dimitri called the Aries Club. Tell you what, this is gonna be an Aries elite club. Ha Ha !

Thanks to Raymond for teaching us such an interesting game. I almost got heart attack like the name of the game. Anyway, Happy, next time don't call yourself "pear" when the subject is fruit. You'll regret definitely!

To Wofy and Happy,
I wanna tell you both that you won't believe how much I felt touched when you guys jumped up and ran into my bedroom to help me get my glasses. I almost burst into tears. I mean it! I was so moved to have the feeling of being taken care of again. Thank you very very much!

Thanks to Helen and Louise. I enjoyed our private women's talk in the hot spring pool. You both are such sweet girls. I wish you ever-lasting happiness with a good guy and I believe you will !

To Paul,
Thank you for your warm hospitality. All of us can feel your kindness to lend us your car when you went back to your office to continue your work. We were very surprised but grateful to be able to use the advanced karaoke equipment in your apartment. By the way, hopefully the microphone with a line is still usable after I dropped it carelessly.

To D & L,
What I'm thanking for is not something that can be seen. But you have made me be able to feel the happiness of u-know-what and helped me recover the faith in u-know-what. My memory in Jin Shan is sweet plus sweet because of you two. :D

Relaxing trip with u all

文章helenho » 週二 9月 18, 2007 10:29 pm

To dear all joining the trip in Jin Shan :D :

I am so glad to be the conductor of the trip in Jin Shan, and we really had a wonderful time together. First, we enjoyed the duck on the Jin Shan old street. The ice of many tastes attracted all of us. We took a relaxing walk there.

On Sat afternoon, we visited the Zhu- Ming stone art museum. The artworks there indeed let all of us experience an artistic trip. It's cool day, and no rain. So we were lucky to stroll around the outdoor museum. Such amazing artworks they are! The army was so imposing that we were impressed with them. :P

Till dusk, it's hot spring time. We were all naked to enjoy the sea view and hot spring. (Of course, Man and woman need to be separated, haha!)The "Old Jin Shan Hot Spring" is famous for relaxing body. Just dipping for a while. We all felt relaxed.

In the evening, playing poker made everyone crazy. Along the coast, drinking hot coffee and playing the exciting game together both helped us forget the pressure from working on weekdays.

On Sun, we tasted "fried meat" on the Jin Shan old street. So yummy! Singing karaoke and playing Wii in Paul's luxurious house were really interesting. We sang loudly and happily.

I really had a lot of fun with you all. Thanks for your participating. I hope we can see each other soon. :P

Best regards,
Helen

It's an unforgettable picture drawn in my memory book during these 2 days Jin-Shan trip.

At the very start, I need to give appreciation to the perfect weather. (totally different from today's violent wind and driving rain)

Thanks for Carmen's countless engergy, to bring us full smile in every half a minute. :D

藤原Wofy, you are a cool and professional photographer in my first sight, but later I find the shy and naive expression when playing Wii at Paul's house.

Dimitri, your sweet home in Jin-Shan and palatable seafood really deserves guys' thumb up to you.

Helen, your planning for all schedule is wonderful, and your singing with Carmen does really qualified to attend "singing contest of superstar".(超級星光大道)

Louise, I make a great deal between your and Paul's companies, I sould get some commission for HEC's exchequer.

Willie, for that you are far beter than"The God of Gamble" on poker game, I'll recommand you to Las Vegas for making big money .

Paul, much many thanks for your car and luxurious house; top-class KTV for free & exhilarating Wii bring us so much fun without any thought of leaving.

Ranore, you should run a 滷肉飯 shop at Jin-Shan. I believe you can be the king of 滷肉飯.

Happy, I could never forget your amazing NOKIA's GPS, take us to drive on a narrowpath;and your singing of Taiwnaese is so grassroots, It's a pity that Willie and I cann't find 高凌風's"燃燒吧,火鳥", but we promise next time you could show us this splendid song.

At the end of my words, I do have to thank HEC's existence, it's the gift to give anyone a place to make friends and fun here.

Since everyone says....

文章Willie » 週三 9月 19, 2007 1:09 pm

It seems everyone wrote something. then I am going to put up my travel note here. I didn't really mention people's name in the note and just jotted down some interesting things. It is a long one. I appreciate in advance about your patience and perseverence :D :D :D

Last weekend, I went out with friends to Jinshan, a place famous for hot springs in North Taiwan. The trip had a poor beginning. I asked my friend to pick me up on her way to the meeting place, but her car had a flat tire and the battery was dead, too. So she was 30 mins late to pick me up. We rushed to pick up another friend, then to the meeting place and worried we must be the last to arrive. It turned out we worried too much. The coordinator just called she would grab her breakfast on the way, so she might be ten more mins late. Finally, we hit the road and expected to reach Jinshan in 1 hour. Talking, talking, talking, we missed the interchange leading to the northbound freeway. So, it took us 30 minutes more to get off the southbound freeway and get back to the northbound. Fortunately we still arrived at Jinshan before noon. So we went straight to the famous restaurant for duck on the old street.

After lunch, Juming art museum was our first destination. The museum was so so big and most art works are outdoors. I didn’t expect it was so large, and I believe nobody did. The artists who created this museum used metal, painting to make a little bit large scale obsure figures of people, airplanes, and Taiji moves. All figures don’t look like real things, but everyone can tell what the artists want to create at first sight. The most impressive one is a piece which shows the peole getting in line for I-don’t-know-what. Looking from far away, the work is so realistic.

Then we went to Ex-Governor General Hot Spring. It was built up during the Japanese colonization of Taiwan. Japanese loved hotsprings for their comsmatic and therapeutic benefits. When World World Two retored Taiwan back to ROC, it was destroyed for military deployment. Later on, the owner of Ex-Governor General Hot Spring nowadays rebuilt it according to the structure back then. It has many hot spring pools. In the pool on the first floor, customers can dress a swimming suit, but there is no pretty view from there. There are two pools on the forth floor. Men and women’s pools are separated and customers can’t put on a swimming suit, but the panorama of the Jinshan beach is nothing less than pleasant. Of course we chose the forth floor, but it was a little embarrasing to expose all myself to other men, which I hadn’t done in my whole life. However, it was not really as weird as I had thought afterwards. The side of the pool is low, so the private part can show to all passersby on the ground level when customers stand up. So pay attnetion, dude, if you are going there soon. The pool is divided into three parts, one hot, one very hot, and the other cold. We shifted between different parts many times, and my legs almost got a cramp when I shifted from the very hot to cold part, but other people looked fine. Did it mean I might be less healthy and couldn’t adapt to the surroundings?

At night, we planned going to the lover’s lake, another I-don’t-know-what. It was too dark to see signposts, so we missed it and almost drove to Keelung. In the end, we gave up the original plan and just chose a roadside cafe to sit and chat. I forget what we said mostly, but I remember we played card games for a while. One of them did provide excitement: everyone chooses a name and can’t see his cards. Then each player turns over a card from top of the deck in their hands when it is his turn to show a card. When two people have cards with the same number, the one who calls the other’s name more slowly collects all cards on the table and starts another round. When a person runs out of cards in his hand, he wins. And the last two people count how many cards in their hands. The one who gets more cards is the loser and has to pay a penalty. There are many penalties, but they are not the fun part. The fun comes from looking at people fumbling for names they know and forget or stammer because of nervousness.

The next day, everyone was in favor of going to another friend’s house to play Wii and do karaoke. I liked to do some sightseeings, but the karaocke is always good for me. I can come back in the future if I am in the mood anyway.
Willie
