Hello,
This is the minutes of last weekend.
When I come across a new idiom in newspaper, I can't catch what author wants to tell us. So I want to learn more on idioms and it’s original. Taking “Apple of my eye” for example, we could see that the western use the phase “apple” in their daily life very often.
Big apple = New York,
Apple pie order = very well organized,
Apple and Oranges = two entitles that are not similar
Bad apple = bad person
Apple polisher = a flatterer
……
English drive us crazy. Isn’t it? ^^
Best Regards, Kevin
