In attendance: 6 members and 2 guests (too bad our host Medusa couldn't join us today)
Speaker session: Our speaker Andy introduced us "Nader and Simin: A Separation", an Oscar-winning movie that focuses on an Iranian couple who separate due to different priorities and the many family issues and conflicts that they face. Andy chose this movie because he can relate himself to the husband, who has to take care of his father who has Alzheimer's disease. According to the plot described by Andy, this movie seems to contradict my limited knowledge of marriage and divorce in Iran, and I'm glad to be offered a peek into different cultures. Ken and Rouxian also shared their knowledge of divorce conditions and regulations in the US and Taiwan, respectively.
Article discussion: I really like today's article which discloses a simple way to boost willpower. We started the discussion by taking turns giving a score to our willpower. And we found that today's catchphrase was probably "it depends". In general, every attendee seems to have quite a high level of willpower, though it is another story when it comes to their weak spots. We then shared our own bad habits, which are drinking coffee, staying up late, etc., as well as our current dreams/goals. We had a great time talking and learning from each other today, so it was really difficult to call it a day. =)
