Dear Happiers,
No matter English, Chinese or other languages, there must be some harmful words to some people. Some may hurt male, and some may hurt female. For example, "sissy" is pretty negative for male. Most people also have experience of language bully. For example, most nicknames in childhood are not so positive, and have made people uncomfortable for a period of time. In movie "The life of Pie", the boy's name came from a French word which means "graceful". But, it's pronunciation sounds like another indic word meaning urine. In real life, not all people have Pie's intelligence and courage to change people's thought of his name. So, try not to use specific words with some people when you know they're harmful to them.
