Dear all friends,
On 1st, August we approximately had 15 people joining our potluck gathering, including mostly officers, Edward, Loraine of course, and our most important one, Jean, who is coming from Switzerland and now work in Hsin Chu just for the time being.
I can nearly use nothing but facinating to express exactly how I feel in this gathering, since almost everybody earnestly and kindly brought what they thought the most recommended delicacies to Loraine's house to have fun. Those are hand-made "Peppery hot glutinous rice", beef rolls, American scrambled eggs, Pork chop, wines.....etc.
And here i'd love to exceptionally point out how nice our great friend, Jean, is, for he generously and hospitably provided us a great many exotic specialties, like a variety of famous world-wide cheeses, freshing drinks and white wines, sausages, and the most impressive one, "hot chocolate pot with fruits". Jean intentionally prepared these foodstuff from his coutry, Switzerland, and carried them spanning across the Pacific Ocean to here in Loraine's house. I deeply feel thankful as well as grateful for what Jean had brought us all, and just now in this very moment one saying fleets over me, which is "Destiny brought us together". I think it does......indeed.
After this wonderful potluck and officer meeting(Gosh, it took 2 hours, but thankfully we had some common views), we headed to 笑傲江湖KTV to enjoy another happy "karaoke session".....haha. This time, adding our gorgeous Winny and Mica, we incessantly, frantically sang whatever song came in, until we eventually ran out of time. Our considerate Alpha bought one birthday cake for our Jean's big day, and friends like Winny, Daphne, Rita also prepared their delicate presents for him. I have to say, I envy you, Jean.
As precious minutes took by, we eventually still had to say good-bye to each, though we were reluctant to do that. This is definitely one memorable event in my life, since once again I feel great warmth and friendship from this "big family". Hey man, let's keep this sweet recollections deep in our spiritual side and enjoy it whenever you like in the future.
Last but not least, we first thank our outing conductor, Loraine, for kindly providing us such a comfortable place, as well as the kitchen facilities and other necessary kits, to have fun, and then our officer team, since without you, this club wouldn't flourish and prosper just like at present. And....Jean of course, and everybody's participation in this club. I truly look forward to our next gathering........YA!!
PS: This week we got five official Happy English Club members, and they are Alpha, Rita, Daphne, Mavis and Rich....Cooooool
Kind Regards
Conan Hsu
