Dear Taichung Happiers:
Happiness never decreases, when we share it with other people. I am glad that we have 15 members joining our gathering in 8/10 to share the secrets how they get happiness.
Thanks to Jeffery who talks about a lot of his traveling experiences to the Middle East and Southern Asia. Jeffery has been many countries, including Iran, Israel, India, Nepal and Afghanistan. He introduced many his observations in these countries. The special shop that he talked about also attracted the attention of all members. We rarely have the chance to go into the shop due to its expensive consumption.
We have one new member Nicole who is an English teacher. She spoke English very well.
In session 2, we split into two groups to discuss our article “7 Secretes to Happiness”.
In our discussion group, many members talked about the importance of true friends or core friends. When we are in bad mood, it’s a good way to transform our emotion if we can find some good friends to talk with. One member talked about being patient and waiting a while, and just letting the bad mood go away naturally.
Almost every member agreed that enough money will make us happier. One member asked a question -- “What amount of money is enough for you? ”. Of course, it depends on different kind of situations and is difficult to answer. Another member, cleverly in different view, redefined the question to “What amount of money isn’t enough for you? ”.
Of course, there are not just only 7 secrets of how to get happiness. Here are some contributions of members: positive thinking, more communication with others, and lowering our expectations. And what is yours?

Thanks to every member for your precious opinion in discussion that greatly enlarge our thoughts to see things differently.
Especially thanks to Jasmine for giving me the opportunity to be a host that I have never been before.

Dear Taichung Happiers,

Do you miss the year when you were 7? Why? Can you believe “one second every day” will assure you that you can unconsciously construct everyday pleasure and extend it into long-term happiness?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uN4I1wEOXE Listening to Happiers’ stories of their happiest periods is profoundly enjoyable and meaningful; furthermore, it will be more thrilling if we can connect all Happiers’ “one second every day”.

Happiness was defined by Mahatma Gandhi with the spirit-- “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” That’s the entire process you learn to honestly connect your unhappy moments with happy clips. “How”, you might ask. The Award-winning writer Joss Whedon gave us the key: Be All Your Selves.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn866ryQ5RY Happiness is always contagious; we are so pleased to see “At least, it’s in Chinese” do Jeremy Lin proud. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RzI6_4-_jQ

We cannot express happiness without doing something that is both enjoyable and meaningful, because happiness is not just a word. Why was the poem “The paradoxical Commandments (by Kent M. Keith) on the wall of Mother Teresa’s Children’s Home? Figure out how it has shed light on the secrets of happiness, ladies and gentlemen, "Do It Anyway ":

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.
