Otherwise, u got to spend a pretty penny for them.

what types of gloves are good for this?

I think all kinds of gloves are fine.
As long as the staff know they are gloves.
They offer wrist guards for rent, so too thick gloves might be a little inconvenient.
If u don't want to rent pretective gear, a pair of thicker gloves might be better.
You know..just prepare yourself to fall.
