I'm Mickey, of course I'm new here. first of all, I'm sooooooo happy I could find such a great web site by chance, how lucky I am !!
let me introduce myself first. I'm 27 years old, I just started to learn english 2 years ago. you might said " how come?" usually we study english beginning at mid-school,right ? to be honest, I was not a good student and I never liked studying English at all until i went traveling to Canada. after I came back to taiwan, i determained to study English so i found a cram school for english, but unfortuantely it is not a good school teaher there did not give a proper class it may be just only in my opinion..however, I only went to school for 7 days but i had paied for the tution for 2 years, it means I lost a lot of money, i was pretty depressed ..
it seems too long for introducing myself ? sorry ? I just want to tell you guys how much I love English.
now i study english by myself but i found out it is not enough so if you could correct my mistake , I'd be very happy
thank you for your time
all the best

Dear Mickey:
Nice to meet you here!
I'd never say "HOW COME"? I am not surprised at your experience at all, cuz' mine is similar to yours; strictly speaking, I started to learn English two years ago, just like you. When I was a student, I used to skip classes, I was the so-called bad student, haha..........
After releasing from the army, I found a cram school and prepaid one-year tuition, after one month, I found it's not gonna work for me, therefore, I didn't go to the cram school anymore and study by myself like you!!
Yep, interest is the most important motive for English learning, in addition, there is no shortcut but practice and appropriate method.
Welcome to join us, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi Mickey
I am glad to hear you share your experience with us.it such as your mood.....sooooo happy ^^.
actually, I have ever been studied in cram school before and I was a serious student then (haha......am I? you should ask my teacher ) coz I paied much money for learn English too. But it really improve my conversation there......you know ,you should be a talkative guy there if you don't wanna waste your money so I often shot a lot of questions to my teacher while we studied in class then we could discuss it together. in my opinion cram school is good for practice speaking and listening well.
I dare to talk to foreigner after finish the class. it same as your words:"I just want to tell you guys how much I love English." thanks for you share your happiness to us.......let's enjoy in this sweet family together, have a nice day!

Well, obviously, no matter we Taiwanese formally start our English learning from high school,it seems that the majority of our cases are not successful. So do I, but I was lucky that i went to London and studied language there for a while.....
However, although people on the forum always have got similar experiences such as having been a terrible English student in the past, your writings here are quite good actually. So, things seems not that bad, doesn't it? Interisting!
Welcome, Mickey! I'm Tom.

Poki, you're really kind and you've been doing well at English. As an English learner like everbody, I'm no doubt very glad to share all my experiences if valuable. I think every partners all have the common sence of the good ways of English studing such as doing it everyday, trying to have fun, and make some friends who do the same...
no excellence can be aquired without constant practice. I think this is the key as everyone have known.
some of the tips of effective learning are also there to be shared, but it would make a long article. We'll discuss them anytime by any chance.

Dear Mickey,
I totally understand your feeling. When I was in Taichung, I also went to a cram school, and I've paid a lot of study fee. It's not worth to pay such money to that cram schoo, meantime, I was so depressed.
Since that, I got the lesson and start to study English by myself. Im glad that I found this website as well, lets keep studying.
