Hi, everyone. Thank you for tuning in to ALMOST LIKE A.B.C.!! :D

I'm your show host, Jerry. Tonight's word game's gonna turn your life around.

If you totally agree with the idea "Different K.K., different sounds", you got to join us for the challange. Taiwanese tend to go the other way round, "Different K.K., exactly the same sounds.>'<", which leaves the simple idea of "Different K.K., different sounds" on the shelf. :cry:

The following is 12 word groups that carry similar and confusing pronunciations, especially those lined up next to each other.

<HOW TO DO>
‧The words in each group are all supposed to be pronounced differently.
‧Read them out one by one at noraml spead.
‧Try to distinguish the words next to each other and figure out why they sound different.
‧You are REJECTED( :shock: honk!!!) if the judge(Sorry, would be me, Jerry^^) hear any two words pronouced the same.
‧You may consult your paper dictionary for K.K.(no electronic talking one). :wink:

Dear Nathan. How goes it?

Thank you for your advice for " Ready..on the marks.......go!". However, the correction was ovbiously deleted from the previous post before I could make an explanation.

There are many ways of saying the same thing. In a sports game, like smimming, a track race....before the gun is fired, we may hear:

>>(Ready)...Set...Go!

>>(Ready)...Get set...Go!!

>>(Ready)...ON the marks...Go!!

>>(Ready)...Steady...Go!!!

They could also be applied to other situations, as long as it makes sense.

That's God's honest truth. :lol:
