Dear Happiers,
In the 1st gathering of Tainan Happy English Club on November 14th, 2009, we had 6 attendants. Everyone showed up on time.
Charles is the PHD student of the Civil Engineering department of NCKU. He said he had the experience to join the international conference and felt that he needs more opportunities to practice English conversation. Amber got her English master degree from the English graduate school of NCKU. She is going to the business trip to Germany next week. She mentioned that there are rarely English communication chances in Tainan and glad to join us. Zero works in the broadcasting field in China for 2 years. He also ever worked in the Rodio station in Taichung. He shared some opinions about his career with us. Kuyu is Zero's friend. He works in the textile R&D department. And he wants to improve his English oral ability. Ellen is the editor of an English magazine and she is glad to join the gathering in Tainan.
About the conclusion of the discussion, Charles mentioned that drinking a little bit wine per day not only provides the advantages to our body but also some disadvantages. Amber said she saw some aboriginal people mixed the wine with the juice. They can drink more by this style. Zero said that the most important thing is to be aware of one's physical condition refer to drinking wine or beer. Then Kuyu also shared his way to say "No" to drinking wine or beer. Ellen said that since she doesn't drink at all, she wouldn't even start to give it a try. And I said I'm a vegetarian so that I don't want to spend the money on drinking.
Finally, when we finish the gathering, as the host, I told the attendants that we run the gathering by Agenda and run the club by SOP. Once every attendant follows the rules of our club, our club will run very well.
