The host master may consider to encourage the host to choose a short or median article for the discussion, rather than a webpage or a long article. It's good for the participants to read/prepare before the gathering.
By the way, what's the main topic of this discussion? Walking death? Horror movie? or American drama? I would suggest to focus on one topic in each discussion.

i respect the host's article and questions. I don't think they are bad at all. You just need to look at them in different direction.

that's why I just finished watching the 1st season of Walking Dead, in 2 days.

We all respect the articles and questions prepared by the hosts at our gatherings.  In fact, we highly appreciate what the hosts have done for our gatherings.

I have been fond of joining our gatherings even though the topic to be discussed is an issue that I am not familiar with or have no idea about.  It's "something new"  that I can learn so I tried to join the gathering every Saturday.

Here is the place where you could be projected the "nutrition".

Hi Happiers:

I am not a high level or median level in English. During the period when join this club that I learned the English form myself caught of I almost read/prepared those article each gathering as Brady’s idea. A couple of week ,the article about Investment that I was thought it was a short article only 1 page. Finally I should to pick the web icons for 5 pages.
Although the article is long or short will be fine that depend on how hardly to prepare from participants and Host. Sometime for short article or sometime for long article just like meal’s price high and low for variability.
A senior member his name called ” HP” that I thought it a printer’s brand. In my memories , I just got one chance to be the same table member with HP fortunately.
I observed “HP” was check out the words from dictionary for preparation to discussion with Happiers. In my options, “HP” is a person who respect to anyone and he will get the respect feedback also.
I was appreciate with uncle chang he always has good preparation for 6 questions to share us about his idea. He was written his notes before our gathering.
The Happy club officers who are volunteer formed participant as you and me or new comer, they need participant to be a Host or a speaker or outing conductor by self-acting.
The Happy officers service participant is a tough job for no salary. So participant please do not just thinking to reject them or only say “no” for a Host or a speaker.
As our president always said the more you give the more you get that is a positive sentence to keep in our minds.
The officer “P” that she was encouraged me to try for prepare a speech that I want to say thinks to her.
The member “W” who was seriously to check out the meaning of “streaming” in article and she answered it for me.
The member “D” who answer the same question about “streaming” that I learned “ a school of fish” form him.
The member “N” who would like to holding mount climbing outing activities for worst case for 2 persons. One is “N”, the other is “Outing master”.
Now I know how to explain I am a introvert because the Host “F” chose the article about a book to describable it.
I was impressed a Host “B” who had handled a good gathering with his ideas and conducted the guest to sharing their opinions.
And Many thanks for the speakers that I was join the presentation ex. Orange economy , tap dance step , cooking meal ,star signs, coffee skill, EM wave, stomach, Africa accent, traveling experience, Gamming skill, study foreign experience , celebrity introduce, technical knowledge , How to say a joke ……… etc
I think it's a good topic for a speech to introduce the America drama“The walking dead”, even participant have not seen it. We could look forward to expect waiting for Lily or Joseph to be a speaker. And about the zombie or horror experience is a good topic also can search another article and questions for more deeply discussion.
Brady had a good idea for host master. How about Brady to be a Host master after YEN’s expiration ?
In additional, I would like to hand over my position after my expiration to someone who want to be a gourmet master.

I think we have some misunderstandings here. I DID NOT say the article and the TV show are bad. Actually, I enjoy watching this TV show - Walking Dead.

I'm not a member of officer. I just shared with you what I felt about the article and what I knew during my past time in the club.

You may try to consult with the ex-host conductor and my suggestion is just for your reference.
