Questions:
A. 15:15 PM ~ 16:30 PM. Article reading & the questions to be discussed:
(1). Unless a few & new Happiers, Jeffrey has never found any Happier is so shy in speech. When was your first time to make a speech in public? Whatever it’s a speech contest, debate, drama performance or even a simple briefing to audiences in public, would you please share your experience with us?
(2). Do you think our gathering at Taichung Happy English Club could benefit you in feel-free speech in public? Are you so enthusiastic to become a sensation host (Jasmine should love to know more!). Do you know how to differentiate the rolls between the host and non-host at each gathering?
B. Agenda: 16:30PM ~ 17:15PM. Could we try a new gathering model, “DEBATE” this time?
(1). Jeffrey would like to bring you the debate model this time, because debate could leverage different opinions more interactively to each other. Our debate is so relaxing and friendly, because you only need to sit for your speaking and don’t stand for your formal speech. Even, we don’t need to fulfill all severe rules like formal debate evens, which Jeffrey will explain later on.
(2) Even though it's a relaxing debate, we still need volunteers to act as one moderator and 2-3 judges to implement the whole process in discipline and justice.
C . Importantly, we need volunteers – speakers (At least one speaker in one team). Of course, we need two teams (affirmative side and negative side). Each speaker is required to present a 3-minunte speaking, 3-minute answering for those questions raised by opponents, and eventually 3-minute close speaking done by one of the speakers in one team..
D. 1/5 Debating Topic: “I believe Life of Pi is in animal story”:
The affirmative team, led by Jasmine, will only dedicate in animal story. (1-2 volunteers will be so welcome to join her team and sign up on 1/5 . The negative team (believing in human story) is led by Kevin. (If possible, he also needs volunteers until that time.
