Dear Taichung Happiers,

The romantic atmosphere of Valentine’s Day is in the air. Meanwhile, CNN reports the protest on August 3rd aiming the improvement of Human Rights for the military in Taiwan; losing the guardian of Public Health, toxicologist Lin Chieh-Liang(林杰樑), innumerable Taiwanese people are expressing the condolences. Now, our host Nathan requests Happiers to share the factors in our happiness and stories of our happiest periods. We have known Nathan for months, and are already aware to expect an active and enthusiastic discussion that will be motivating. So, get ready and join the 20130810 episode.

Psychologists have claimed meaningful conversations and experiences (such as vacations and concerts) to be happiness boosters. Best known for his 3000 page masterpiece “In Search of Lost Time”, Marcel Proust suggested us “Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” Chiang Hsun, the Master of Aestheticism, has nurtured a love of blossoming souls in us. Not that his works are without tragedy; it’s that his works let us love all aspects of life.
