Dear Taichung Happiers,

Albert Einstein had the most impressive happiness imaginable, because his sayings were in harmony with actions. Einstein didn’t like to comb his hair (why?), yet could be a profound simple-living consultant: “Long hair minimizes the need for barbers; socks can be done without; one leather jacket solves the coat problem for many years; suspenders are superfluous.” Nevertheless, many people might consciously or unconsciously confess more to their hairstylists than priests.

Introducing the Royal Baby to the world, Prince William laughed and joked that he has less hair than his newborn son. Hair truly provides a focus for one’s self-image. How much courage do we need to shave our heads? Is hair a factor in confidence? American Academy of Family Physicians has pointed out body image can be closely connected to self-esteem.
http://familydoctor.org/familydoctor/en/teens/emotional-well-being/body-image-and-self-esteem.html In the article our host Joey offered, shaving their heads for donation, the volunteers of Children’s Cancer Foundation in Singapore have a heart of gold. This article is indeed a stirring of complex feelings. Three years ago, my father couldn’t even wait us to take care of his hair style, and passed away 3 months after his brain cancer was proved. He would otherwise happily press the “like” bottom for our weekly articles. Ladies and gentlemen, here is a “Brave” song for those respectable volunteers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McdMwOV0y6c

All right, time for cheers again. Our Club Founder Happy Jan and Taoyuan President Ellen Tsai are organizing a joint outing event which has attracted Happiers from Taipei and Taoyuan to join. If Taichung Happiers are interested in this outing activity, please register for it. http://www.happyforum.org/happy/viewtopic.php?t=5933 By the way, during the period I go traveling, our President Kevin will post articles for Happiers. If you have any questions during this period, please feel free to contact him. Finally, please allow the reminder again: from now on, we will go back to 大業路 Mos Burger for our gatherings. Thanks a lot for your attention.
