HI

這是一位目前在多倫多紅透半邊天的華人移民名~~~Jerry

Don't be fooled by superficial fluency. Everybody wants to be fluent, no doubt, but that is not the primary objective. There are individuals with tremendous language learning talent, but not everybody can be taught to be a genius. Wisdom, knowledge and experience takes years or more to build. You can train youself to sound fluent by acting, but can you think and feel fluently in English 24/7. Brain is a very stubborn organ, and not to mention your heart and soul. Old habit dies hard. My point is when comes to our minds, one rules remains true that is "garbage in, garbage out" There are vast pools of knowledge in English not only on the Internet, but also in countless movies, TV, radio shows, songs... just to name a few sources. These content providers have been providing contents in English for the longest time. In our limited life time, let's not deceive ourselves into believing that we can "learn" them in just few years. It is very easy to sound like a "native" speaker in front of ESL students, but it is also easy for a authentic native speaker to throw you a curve ball and make you look like a helpless fool.
In the name of forum tranquillity, feel free to delete any of my post, sooner the better.
