1. Do you follow the news about World Cup? Which team is your favorite team of World Cup 2014, and what makes you a fan of this team? Is staying up late to watch the live games acceptable to you? Have you ever played soccer games?

2. Some said teamwork brings Germany World Cup victory. Also, it brings San Antonio Spurs NBA champion this year. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Or, what made Germany the champion?

3. Today’s article is about World Cup and big data. Do you remember what we have learned about big data? Could you give us one or two examples about the applications of this technology?

4. Microsoft conducted data mining from 987 teams and 37 thousands matches during the last 5 years to do big data analyses and the results showed that Germany had a 58% chance of winning the final game. Some said big data analyses are exactly the same from quarterfinals to final round and most odds makers calculate odds based on big data analyses. In contrast, normal people like you and I have less chance to access big data summary. So some fans asked Paul the octopus, who successfully predicted the results of 2010 World Cup, to buy a lottery ticket. Have you ever bought a sport lottery? And what is your lottery preference? Does the Public Welfare Lottery benefit or have unhealthy influences for people in Taiwan?
