Thanks a lot for your attention. Questions: 1. There are more than 10,000 convenience stores in Taiwan. One store for every 2,300 people is the highest density in the world. Why are Taiwanese people crazy about convenience stores? 7-11 leads with a more than 50% market share, followed by Family Mart at 29%, Hi-Life at 13%, and OK at 9%. Do you have any preference among these brands? What makes you fond of it?
2. How often do you go to convenience stores and how much money do you spend on it each week? Have you had your meals, beverages and bread in convenience stores? If you have, what do you think about the foods in convenience stores? What is your must-buy items or must-eat foods?
3. In addition to household goods and foods, convenience stores also provide a variety of services like picking up ticket, internet, bathroom, sending wrapped package, parking space and photocopying. Those measures differentiate convenience stores from supermarkets. Do you use these additional services? Would you be influenced by these additional services to buy more and stay longer in convenience stores? What else can they do in the future?
4. The conventional grocery stores have almost gone within 10 years since the first convenience store was opened in 1979. Have you ever been to conventional grocery stores? What do you usually buy and what are your nostalgic memories of conventional grocery stores?

Dear Taichung Happiers,
How differently can time move in a store? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ors8MrjWmCMTraining Of A Shopaholic (by john williams)
My mum thinks I'm so smart,
She puts me in the shopping cart,
I always point out what to buy,
Sometimes my mum gives me a sigh,
Good shopping is an art.
Enjoying everyday life is an art. What part of everyday life soothes you most? How about sitting in a convenience store and feeling an ice cream melting slowly in your mouth? What role do convenience stores play in your daily life? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to join our host Kevin in digging deeper into the experiences in convenience stores.
We are what we buy. Who we are has an impact on what we buy; what we consume is identifying who we are. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/sold/201309/we-are-what-we-consume Besides, American author and entrepreneur Jonah Sachs provides an enduring insight into marketing. “Good marketers see consumers as complete human beings with all the dimensions real people have.” What do shoppers expect while stepping into convenience stores? How can convenience store marketers curate everything according to lifestyle trends? http://www.igd.com/Research/Retail/Convenience/17433/Three-trends-driving-growth-in-convenience-/Who knows your guilty pleasure better than the convenience store clerk meeting you every day? Do the sight, sound, and smell in convenience stores seduce your daily ritual? What is going on with convenience stores in other corners of the world? Due to the lifestyle and population changes, Japanese convenience stores have developed unique characteristics. http://www.japantoday.com/category/lifestyle/view/5-reasons-japanese-convenience-stores-rock The modern convenience stores in Europe are beckoning harder and harder in the hope of being rewarded by consumers’ repeated visits and increased spending. On the other hand, small independent convenience stores are struggling with higher operating costs; customer service and community connection are their only treasures. http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-25762466Nothing is impossible in a store. John Galsworthy (14 August 1867 – 31 January 1933), a Nobel Laureate in Literature, joked “For some women shopping is the only type of sport.” Yet, in “Kim’s Convenience”, what we really buy is the laughter and tears of the storekeeper’s family. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=314&v=U3jXUz8HCvY Actually, I have never realized how far a store can take people, until listening to this story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU82HhqhEHM . Isn’t it echoing Professor Philip Kotler’s value--“Marketing 3.0 is the stage when companies shift from consumer-centricity to human-centricity and where profitability is balanced with corporate responsibility”? Isn’t it illustrating responsibility creates sustainability?
Please, dear friends, also remember that time moves differently when Happiers enjoy Saturday afternoons together. Welcome to share your everyday bliss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ7wzTWlIdU Join us. Thanks. With Gratitude,
Jasmine
