Dear Taichung Happiers,
Santa Claus comes to a psychiatrist and says: “Doctor, please help me, I do not believe in myself! The scariest thing about Halloween is that shops have already started selling Christmas gifts.”
Sugar! Yes, please. Santa needs some. There are deep meanings in gift-giving--author Christalyn Brannen deciphered one of them. "Gift giving is part of the culture no matter where you are and no matter how long you stay." In this beautiful season for harvest and celebration, our host Kevin kindly reminds us to cultivate our Gift Giving Etiquette.
We are what we give. The process of finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones makes us further understand not only the receivers but also ourselves. Mirror, mirror, everywhere. Enjoy this quiz, please: http://www.proprofs.com/quiz-school/story.php?title=whats-perfect-gift-your-best-friend No worries. It is not so easy to choose a terrible gift, neither. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4a9CKgLprQ However, everyone has received the greatest gift from parents--unconditional love--author and entrepreneur Joseph Mercado reassured parents that “One of the greatest gifts you can give to your children is the development of a parent, and being the greatest role model your child has ever witnessed.” And this short film “Gift” suggests the most enriching interpretation of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DUYlHZsZfcI give, therefore I am. Winston Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965), the British statesman, clarified “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” A happy and self-actualized life requires us to give love and friendship, share awareness stories, and encourage collaboration. Check out this heartfelt story on the gift of friendship: The Lion And The Bird. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwwS9-IEZ9g&app=desktop And the following speech itself is a gift of inspiring awakening and giving hope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPZdEBGKUrs The more we give, the more we can feel and respect the gifts of life.
GIFTS (by Iris Sankey-Lewis)
Life blooms us flowers
Unlike thorns that leaves us scarred
Inhale each fragrance
What observation
And choices screened clean and bright
Quenching thirsty souls
Each moment steamed fresh
We shall savor obedience
And rely on Source.
What is the only thing Santa can’t gift you? Fact: Yet some people have given you this more than you can see. Indian writer Ritu Ghatourey asserted “When someone gives you their time, they are giving you a portion of their life that they will never get back. It’s one of the most precious gifts you can receive. Don't waste it.” Hereby, I would love to thank our hosts and participants again for having given us the priceless gift--their time--it has been greatly appreciated.
Joining this Club has been more than rewarding. To encourage members, our Club Founder Happy Jan has been giving more and more often. Here is a big prize from him again: http://www.happyforum.org/happy/viewtopic.php?t=6671 Hurry up to catch it. Please also remember that your weekly participation is the best gift to Happiers. Join us. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jR44TfOZKtMWith Gratitude,
Jasmine
