20160702, Gathering, Tainan Happy English Club


Today we’re surprised to have Happy, founder of the club, join us in this gathering, even just a short stay. We don’t know why, but the atmosphere always becomes delighted every time when Happy comes to our gathering.

Besides Happy’s participation, we’re glad to have Sonia(1st time visitor), WeiWei(2nd time visitor), Jessica(2nd time visitor), and Debbie(3rd time visitor) come to this meeting with the Tainan Happiers, Gary, Cherry, Grace, Joseph, and Ken. It’s interesting to hear Gary sharing his excited experience of canyoning. You can to check his blog for more details of this story:

After sharing some news, we played a game by Ken(it’s me). Two people, as a team, wrote down something both of them love to do. Bla bla bla and so on. Finally, 2 teams became winners and needed to do some performance. Some pictures posted are shown about the result of the performance. Hope you enjoyed this game.

Have you heard about the sharing economy? Today we read about some ideas inspired by a home-rental company Airbnb. Today’s generation sees that ownership also as a burden. People still want to show off, but in the future what they’re going to want to show off is their Instagram feed, their photos, the places they’ve gone, special experiences they’ve had, and how colorful their life is. And except for money, sharing cars, houses, and stuff would bring chances to know new people, earn reputation, friendships, relationships, and some unique experiences. Since the invention of internet, this world are changing so quickly that we might be easily outdated if we cannot catch this trend. Thanks for Joseph’s chosen article and questions, we were inspired a lot from the discussion.

The next gathering will be on July 16. We are looking forward to seeing you then.
