Dear Taichung Happiers,
Perhaps recycling jokes can be eco-friendly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkOXmNFBIZUBeyond elegance and alliance, Greek philosopher and scientist Aristotle (384–322 BC) directed our attention toward the wonder of nature. “In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.” And Taichung Happiers’ best friend Albert Einstein beautifully illustrated why the nature is such a joy to behold is for the key to further understand everything. Nevertheless, have we built a sincere enough relationship with nature? How can every individual make a difference for the intimate interconnectedness with nature? Welcome to join our host Harry in contributing ideas of showing respect for our Mother Nature.
Our minds could be blown by Leonardo DiCaprio’s invitation: “Let us not take this planet for granted” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOoP56eXtzM ; meanwhile, the modesty of American essayist, development critic, and historian Henry David Thoreau (July 12, 1817 – May 6, 1862) motivates the exploration of our relation with nature: “Shall I not have intelligence with the earth? Am I not partly leaves and vegetable mould myself?” Now, take a deep breath and give yourself 10 minutes, please. Listen to this “Tree Talk” with your heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji8iYgLx8G0&feature=youtu.be Then, close your eyes and listen to your heart. No peeking, nope. No dozing, neither!!! What is the voice from your heart? Hope you are smiling now. Check out writer and producer Charlie Ottley purposefully proposed the only solution to our relationship with nature: Education, Education, Education. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF_Fvbjx3bUSo, what does it mean to be green? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyNPa37G_2s What price do we have to pay for the material progress and convenience in modern society? Before answering it, Science writer Susan Freinkel inspected essential questions about the implication of life. “If you can't reuse or repair an item, do you ever really own it? Do you ever really own it? Do you ever develop the sense of pride and proprietorship that comes from maintaining an object in fine working order?” Fortunately, we can remain rigidly optimistic about the future, because die-hard dreamers always demonstrate awakening desires to restore the reality. See? This magic mushroom is flying without wings. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/16/world/ecovative-mushroom-furniture/ And, art can be re-defined by actions, not words. http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-34006625 Reusing, reducing, and recycling are simply best art; art is nothing but the echo of nature whispering in your ear.
If you’ve been to this Green Library which focuses on ecology and energy saving https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKo0aH4zO_Q , you will utterly understand the exclamation by American architect, writer, and educator Frank Lloyd Wright (June 8, 1867 – April 9, 1959)--“Buildings, too, are children of Earth and Sun.” Moreover, how architecture tangos with nature can be both an extensive examination and an inspirational muse. So, except for the partner, what does it take to dance with nature? When people’s bodies and behaviors striding across the floor, when openness and closeness tossing their long hair in the wind as they turn, when buildings have melt into nature, expectations and conventions start fading into nothingness--because choices and chances speak much much much louder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPeZ4l1tdjsFrom “Portrait of Nature” (by Carrie Richards)
For yesterday creates today, with a promise for tomorrow.
When songs are played, it can bring us hope, in the laughter of the birds.
Each whisper of a clearer sky, will gently cleanse the smoke,
and buffalo will graze again, the tall green grass will wave again.
The golden sun will rise again, to warm her every word
What is education in nature but another name of patience and love? Laurence Overmire, an award-winning poet, introduces the never-ending symphony. "Love is active, not passive. It is our love for one another, for Mother Earth, for our fellow creatures that compels us to act on their behalf." Please remember that what makes this world beautiful is you—the time is right to jazz things up—join us. Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pBjopDymtsWith Gratitude,
Jasmine
